Description

Planning a year of statistics takes hundreds of hours: slides, worksheets, tests, mark schemes, graphs that are actually accurate. This statistics teacher pack does that work for you. It covers the whole course in 16 chapters, and every chapter is ready to teach on Monday. It follows the chapters of the Statistics Made Simple textbook, and the textbook and its practice book are included, so you and your students work from the same chapter numbers.

What is in every chapter folder

  • Editable slides (.pptx) — 20 to 24 slides per chapter: starter, key terms, worked examples, graphs, check-your-understanding questions, a real-world case study with real data, an activity and exit questions. Every slide has teacher notes with the questions to ask, the misconceptions to watch for and the answers.
  • Lesson plan — two 60-minute lessons, timed minute by minute, with objectives, slide references, calculator and software tips, differentiation and homework.
  • Worksheet and answer key — five or six tasks rising in difficulty, ending with an extension.
  • Chapter test and mark scheme — 10 multiple-choice questions, two structured questions and a 20-mark extended question, with point-by-point M1/A1/B1 marking.
  • Exit tickets — three short tickets of three questions each, with answers.

Whole-course resources

  • Teacher guide — how to plan the year, teach a chapter step by step, and use the pack with the textbook and practice book.
  • Scheme of work — 36 weeks with the syllabus codes for every chapter, plus a board-by-board teach/skip grid.
  • Mid-year and end-of-year exams, each 2 hours and 80 marks, with full mark schemes.
  • Diagram bank — all 69 graphs and diagrams, each drawn exactly from its data or equations, as PDF, editable PowerPoint and PNG images.
  • Student books included — the 246-page Statistics Made Simple textbook and the practice book with 1,569 questions and worked answers, as PDFs.

The 16 chapters

Describing data (1–5): statistical thinking, data collection and sampling, graphs, summary statistics, correlation and regression. Probability (6–8): probability rules and Bayes, discrete random variables and the binomial, the normal distribution. Inference (9–13): sampling distributions and the central limit theorem, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, comparing two groups, chi-square tests. Further methods (14–16): ANOVA, inference for regression, multiple regression.

Exam boards

Mapped to AP Statistics (the 2026–27 five-unit course), Cambridge International AS and A Level Mathematics 9709 Probability and Statistics 1 and 2, IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (statistics and probability) and first-year university statistics. Every slide deck lists the syllabus codes it covers, and the scheme of work shows which chapters each board needs.
