Description
Planning a year of mathematics takes hundreds of hours: slides, worksheets, tests, mark schemes, graphs that are actually accurate. This mathematics teacher pack does that work for you. It covers the whole course in 20 chapters, and every chapter is ready to teach on Monday. It follows the chapters of the Mathematics Made Simple textbook, and the textbook and its practice book are included, so you and your students work from the same chapter numbers.
What is in every chapter folder
- Editable slides (.pptx) — 20 to 24 slides per chapter: starter, key terms, worked examples, graphs, check-your-understanding questions, a real-world case study with real data, an activity and exit questions. Every slide has teacher notes with the questions to ask, the misconceptions to watch for and the answers.
- Lesson plan — two 60-minute lessons, timed minute by minute, with objectives, slide references, calculator and software tips, differentiation and homework.
- Worksheet and answer key — five or six tasks rising in difficulty, ending with an extension.
- Chapter test and mark scheme — 10 multiple-choice questions, two structured questions and a 20-mark extended question, with point-by-point M1/A1/B1 marking.
- Exit tickets — three short tickets of three questions each, with answers.
Whole-course resources
- Teacher guide — how to plan the year, teach a chapter step by step, and use the pack with the textbook and practice book.
- Scheme of work — 36 weeks with the syllabus codes for every chapter, marking which chapters are Cambridge P1/P2/P3, AP AB or BC-only and IB HL-only.
- Mid-year and end-of-year exams, each 2 hours and 80 marks, with full mark schemes.
- Diagram bank — all 87 graphs and diagrams, each drawn exactly from its data or equations, as PDF, editable PowerPoint and PNG images.
- Student books included — the 539-page Mathematics Made Simple textbook and the practice book with 1,565 questions and worked answers, as PDFs.
The 20 chapters
Foundations (1–8): the algebra toolkit, equations and inequalities, functions and graphs, coordinate geometry, exponentials and logarithms, sequences, series and the binomial theorem, trigonometry I and II. Differential calculus (9–12): limits and continuity, the derivative and its rules, implicit differentiation and related rates, applying derivatives. Integral calculus (13–16): integration as accumulation, techniques of integration, applications of integration, differential equations. Further topics (17–20): numerical methods, vectors, complex numbers, parametric, polar and infinite series.
Exam boards
Mapped to AP Calculus AB and BC, Cambridge International AS and A Level Mathematics 9709 (Pure Mathematics 1, 2 and 3) and IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches SL and HL. Every slide deck lists the syllabus codes it covers, and the scheme of work shows which chapters each board needs.
