Description
Understanding calculus and being able to do it under exam conditions are two different things. The second only comes from practice. This calculus practice book gives you 1,565 questions, graded from easy to exam level, organised in exactly the same chapters as Mathematics Made Simple so you can practise each topic as soon as you have learned it.
How each chapter is organised
- Part A — Textbook recap. Quick questions on each section of the chapter, in teaching order, including multiple choice.
- Part B — New drills. About 30 questions per chapter, graded easy, medium and hard, with economics applications where the topic allows.
- Part C — Technology workshop. Graphing calculator (TI-84 Plus CE and Casio fx-CG50), Desmos and Python tasks. Every Python snippet was run and its printed output is shown exactly.
- Part D — Exam-style. Twelve multi-part questions per chapter in the styles of AP Calculus free-response, Cambridge 9709 and IB papers, each with a full mark scheme and a short examiner comment on common errors.
Review sets and mock papers
Three mixed review sets pull the topics together (Foundations; Differential Calculus; Integral Calculus and Beyond), and two full mock papers let you rehearse the real thing: one in the style of the May 2027 AP Calculus exam and one in the style of Cambridge 9709 Pure Mathematics 1. They are written in the style of those exams, not taken from official past papers.
Answers that show the working
Every question has a complete worked answer, not just a final number, and every answer was checked by computer algebra before publication.
